Washington

Matt Calkins of The Seattle Times discusses the successes of the Washington athletics department over the last three years. Football, women’s basketball (this year not withstanding), baseball, softball, golf, rowing and women’s volleyball have all done some really nice stuff as of late.

Arizona State

Arizona State men’s golf coach Matt Thurmond was named West Region Golf Pride Grips Coach of the Year on Tuesday. Thurmond led the Sun Devils to a tie for 13th at the NCAA Championships this year.

Colorado

Colorado has named Danielle Steinberg its new women’s tennis head coach, it was announced Tuesday. Steinberg, most recently the head coach at Kansas State, was an All-Pac-10 performer at Arizona, qualifying for three NCAA Singles Championships.

Stanford

The USTFCCCA rated Stanford the best women’s track & field and cross-country program in the nation on Tuesday. The Cardinal women most recently finished third at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

USC

Oregon State
