Oregon

Oregon softball has its new head coach. Andrew Greif of The Oregonian gives you five things to know about Melyssa Lombardi, the Ducks' new head honcho with championship roots.

USC

While we're talking new head coaches, USC women's golf has one, too. Justin Silverstein spent the past two seasons as the USC men's associate head coach, and now he's taking over the women's program. This isn't his first stint within the Pac-12 women's golf scene, either. (USCTrojans.com)

Washington

College football guru Phil Steele has released his preseason top 25, and Dawg fans will be delighted (or should be delighted) to see where Washington sits in his rankings.

Arizona State

In case you missed it, ASU announced a home-and-home football series with Texas A&M for 2026 and 2027. The Arizona Republic's Doug Haller has the details.

California

Kudos to former Cal defender Haley Lukas, who is off to Poland to start her pro soccer career. According to CalBears.com, she'll be playing for KKPK Medyk Konin in Ekstraliga, the country's top division. Try saying that three times fast. Or even one time fast.

Utah

As one excellent soccer player leaves the Pac-12, another one enters. Incoming Ute Hailey Stodden has been named a high school All-USA first-teamer by USA Today and TopDrawerSoccer.com. Good get, SLC.

Colorado

Last week we linked to the news of Colorado's Coors Events Center becoming the CU Events Center. Here's a nostalgic follow-up from Pat Rooney of BuffZone.com, who lists the top five moments of the CEC era.

Oregon State

We have double the Andrew Greif links today, lucky for us: Here he writes about Lonnie Shelton, a former Oregon State basketball star and NBA champion, who died Sunday.

Arizona

Another day, another double-double for Deandre Ayton. The former freshman phenom continues to impress in NBA Summer League play with the Phoenix Suns, writes Justin Spears of the Arizona Daily Star.

UCLA

UCLA running back Bolu Olorunfunmi has had a new offensive coordinator every year he's been with the Bruins. That's tough. But, writes Go Joe Bruin's Mike Regalado, Olorunfunmi could take his game to the next level with Chip Kelly's arrival

Stanford

Let's be real: Your favorite college football team's schedule can greatly help — or hurt — their championship chances. Chris Hummer of 247Sports lays out five teams benefitting from their 2018 schedules along with five teams hurt by their schedules. Cover your eyes, Stanford fans.

Washington State

Hot seat talk. Coug Center has it. Spoiler: Mike Leach is in good shape.
