Seven Pac-12 teams are headed to the 2024 NCAA Tournament, with Arizona, Colorado, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Utah set to suit up this week at March Madness. At least half of the Pac-12 has earned berths in seven straight NCAA Tournaments, and the 2024 installment marks the 10th consecutive event to feature at least five Pac-12 programs. The seven teams headed to the Big Dance ties the Conference record set during the 2016-17 and 2022-23 seasons.

The First Four matchups will take place on March 20-21, and the first round is set to tip off on March 22-23.

Pac-12 Tournament champion USC (26-5) is a No. 1 seed for the fifth time in program history. The Trojans enter the tournament having won 12 of their last 13, including five straight, and are making back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 2004-05 and 2005-06. USC is set to face No. 16 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Portland Regional 3.

Regular-season champion Stanford (28-5) earned a No. 2 seed and is making its 37th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Cardinal will tip off its March Madness campaign against No. 15 seed Norfolk State at Maples Pavilion in Portland Regional 4. Stanford has 100 NCAA Tournament victories, the third most all-time.

No. 2-seed UCLA (25-6) is making its third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four seasons and eighth trip to the Big Dance under head coach Cori Close. The Bruins, who will host the first and second-round games for the second straight season, open postseason play against No. 15 seed California Baptist in Albany Regional 2 at Pauley Pavilion.

UCLA and USC will be hosting the first and second rounds in the same year for the first time since 1992.

Oregon State (24-7) is a No. 3 seed and is set to host No. 14 seed Eastern Washington in Albany Regional 1. The Beavers rattled off six AP Top-25 wins this season, their most such victories since 2017-18. Oregon State recorded back-to-back top-10 victories against then-No. 4 Colorado and then-No. 9 UCLA, becoming one of two schools (also Utah) nationally to accomplish that feat.

Colorado is making its 16th all-time March Madness and will be a No. 5 seed, facing off against No. 12 seed Drake in Albany Regional 2. The Buffaloes opened up the season with a thrilling upset of reigning National Champion and then-No. 1 LSU, one of their three AP Top 10 wins this season.

No. 5 seed Utah (22-10) is making its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance, marking the first time the Utes are appearing in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments since 1998 when they made four straight (1995-1998). Utah will kick off its Big Dance against No. 12 seed South Dakota State in Portland Regional 4.

Arizona (17-15) returns to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season, and will square off against Auburn in the 11-seed First Four contest in Portland Regional 3. The Wildcats defeated two AP Top-25 opponents this season, including then-No. 3 Stanford on the road for their highest ranked road win in program history.

Pac-12 teams have showcased plenty of March Madness success in recent years. Since the 2015-16 season, the Pac-12 boasts the highest NCAA Tournament winning percentage (.667) and the most Sweet 16 appearances (25). Also since 2015-16, the Conference is tied for the most Final Four appearances with seven (also the SEC) and the most Elite Eight appearances with 13 (also the ACC).

Going back to the 2012-13 season, the Pac-12 is tied for the most Final Four appearances with nine (also the SEC). Those nine appearances have come from six different teams (Arizona - 2021; California - 2013; Oregon - 2019; Oregon State - 2016; Stanford - 2022, 21, 17, 14; Washington - 2016), which is more than any other conference.

Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio is home to the Final Four on Friday, April 5, and the NCAA championship game on Sunday, April 7.

California (18-14), Washington (16-14) and Washington State (18-14) are among the 32 teams selected to play in the inaugural WBIT, which begins Thursday, March 21.
