McCall Named WBCA Thirty Under 30

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford assistant coach Erica McCall was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 honoree for the 2023-24 season, the organization announced Thursday.
 
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
 
In her first season on the bench at her alma mater, McCall has helped Stanford to the program's 29th Sweet 16, where the second-seeded Cardinal will face third-seeded NC State on Friday, March 29 at the Moda Center in Portland.
 
Stanford is 30-5 overall and won the program's 27 Pac-12 regular-season title in the league's 38-year history with a 15-3 conference mark.
 
McCall made her return to The Farm following a five-year professional career in the WNBA, playing five seasons in the league with four different organizations before announcing her retirement in May 2023.
 
Named a 2016-17 honorable mention All-American by both the Associated Press and the WBCA, McCall led the Cardinal to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including Final Four runs in 2014 and 2017.
 
A WNBA second-round pick (17th overall) by the Indiana Fever in 2017, McCall was a two-time All-Pac-12 performer who guided to two Final Fours, three Elite Eights, three Pac-12 championships and a 118-28 overall record.
