Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Johnnie Blockburger, Sr., USC (Tucson, Ariz.)

• Won the men’s 200m at the 44 Farms Team Invitational at Texas A&M over the weekend. 
• Ran a wind-aided time of 20.26 (+2.8w) for the event victory. 
• Now leads the Pac-12 and ranks fourth in the country in the 200m

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Jadyn Mays, Jr., Oregon (Glendale, Ariz.)

• Won the women’s 100m and 200m events at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley over the weekend. 
• Earned meet-record times in both events, running 11.28 and 22.85, respectively. 
• Now tied for fourth in the country in the 200m this year and ranks second in the Pac-12 in the 100m and 200m.
• Also ran a leg on Oregon’s 4x100m relay team that ran a season-best time of 44.82, finishing second overall.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: JC Stevenson, So., USC (Temecula, Calif.)

• Won the men’s long jump competition at the 44 Farms Invitational at Texas A&M. 
• Posted a wind-aided PR mark of 8.27m (27-05.50) (+4.2w), which would have broken USC’s school record set by Randy Williams (27-04.25) if wind-legal. 
• Additionally posted a leap of 8.21m (26-11.25) (+3.6w), which counts as the collegiate lead in the event this season.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Jaida Ross, Jr., Oregon (Medford, Ore.)

• Broke the collegiate record in the shot put in a historic performance at the Triton Invitational over the weekend. 
• Went 19.71m (64-08.00) for the collegiate record and the event win, eclipsing the previous record set by Ohio State’s Adelaide Aquilla in 2022. 
• The mark doubles as the No. 5 toss in the world this year. 
• Ross eclipsed former teammate and four-time NCAA champion (3 discus, 1 indoor shot put) atop Oregon’s all-time list in the shot put. 
• Also added a lifetime-best effort in the discus with a mark of 58.31m (191-4).
