USC Battles the Buffaloes for Second in the Conference on Senior Day

LOS ANGELES – USC women's lacrosse (10-4, 4-1 Pac-12) returns home for senior day as it battles Colorado (10-4, 4-1) for the second-place spot in the Pac-12 on Sunday, Apr. 21 at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

  • The Trojans are 74-20 all-time in home games and are 24-5 in Pac-12 home games. USC is also 28-42 all-time against ILWomen/IWLCA ranked teams. 
  • The Trojans will play this season in two different venues, as their first five home games will be at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., while their final two home games will be at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. USC will play these games offsite as its new stadium is under construction. The brand-new Rawlinson Stadium is set to open in 2025. 
  • USC finished out its first five games at Dignity Health 3-2 with wins over Hofstra, Temple and UC Davis. 
  • USC played the first-ever lacrosse game at the Coliseum in its opening season, as it played then-No. 1 Northwestern on Feb. 9, 2013.
  • USC picked up its first win at the Coliseum against California and its first win in the Coliseum since The Women of Troy won a game vs. Arizona State, 17-10 on Mar. 25, 2022. The Women of Troy are 6-3 all-time in games at the Coliseum. 
  • The Trojans claimed the 2023 Pac-12 regular season title and Pac-12 Tournament Title for the first time since 2019. USC has won back-to-back Pac-12 regular season titles (shared with Stanford in 2022).
  • The Trojans are 8-9 all-time vs. the Cardinal. USC split the season series last year against Stanford, as it won 10-7 at home, but lost on the road 12-5.
  • On Mar. 28, Graduate student Ella Heaney, redshirt junior Isabelle Vitale and freshman Anna Regan were all named to the ILWomen Midseason All-American Honorable Mention List. 
  • Heading into the season senior midfielder Claudia Shevitz was selected to the ILWomen Preseason All-American Third Team list. This is her second list to appear on as she was selected to the USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Honorable Mention list alongside teams Isabelle Vitale and Catherine Lord.
  • Graduate student attacker Ella Heaney won the latest Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award, as she claimed the award on Apr. 8. Heaney had five goals and one assist in the 19-8 road victory over Oregon.
  • USC is currently ranked No. 19 in the ILWomen/IWLCA week nine poll.
  • The Trojans return two Pac-12 award winners to their roster, as senior Claudia Shevitz was named the 2023 Midfielder of the Year, and Kait Devir was named as the 2023 Co-Goalkeeper of the Year. Head coach Lindsey Munday was also named the 2023 Pac-12 Coach of the Year. 
  • Shelby Tilton recorded her 100th career point against Hofstra after a four-goal game. Tilton also ranks ninth in USC history for goals at 100. The senior picked up her 100th goal against California, as she spearheaded a come-from-behind victory. 
  • Senior Claudia Shevitz is four goals away from 100, as she sits at 96. 
  • Against Army, Ella Heaney recorded her 100th career goal and now has 137 goals in her career, which is the fifth most in program history. The graduate student also earned her 200th point against Arizona State.
  • Isabelle Vitale now ranks second in program history with 105 career assists. She moved into second place after her four-assist game against Villanova. The redshirt junior is five points away from 200 for her career and is 17 assists from the USC record of 122.
  • Danielle Carson is ninth in USC history with 93 ground balls and is 10th with 59 caused turnovers. 
  • Freshman Anna Regan is shooting up the standings in Trojan history for draw controls, as she has 108 in 14 games, which is ninth in program history. Against UC Davis (Mar. 16), the freshman tied the single-game mark with 17 draw controls in the contest.  
  • Freshman Annie Shields made her first collegiate start lon Mar. 18, as the Women of Troy dropped the non-conference match to Dartmouth, 17-12. She got her first career win in her second start at Arizona State, as she allowed just seven goals and had four saves.
