The bracket for the 2024 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship is set with reigning National Champion USC (29-4) earning the Conference’s No. 1 seed. The double-elimination tournament will be hosted by the nationally-ranked No. 13, and sixth-seeded, ARIZONA STATE on April 24-26 at the Sun Devil Beach Volleyball Facility in Tempe, Ariz.

The Trojans join a group of seven-ranked Pac-12 programs ranked in the most recent AVCA Top-25 poll. No. 1 UCLA (29-5), No. 3 STANFORD (28-3), No. 8 CALIFORNIA (20-11), No. 12 WASHINGTON (19-13), No. 13 ARIZONA STATE (19-7) and No. 19 ARIZONA (20-10) are seeded second through seventh, respectively. UTAH (18-14) and OREGON (5-23) round out the Conference with the eighth and ninth seeds. The final regular season AVCA and CVBV polls will be released on Tuesday April 23rd.

USC has won four of the seven total Pac-12 Championships (‘16, ‘17, ‘19, ‘22) with their last coming in 2022. The UCLA Bruins won the remaining three titles, and enter this year’s tournament as the reigning Pac-12 Champion. The pair have gone on to claim all seven NCAA National Titles.

The Trojans have avoided being swept this season, and all four of their losses have come against top-10 ranked programs. Their 29 wins is amongst the top-3% of the nation’s teams, earning them four No. 1 AVCA rankings and not being ranked lower than No. 3 all season. Backed by court one pair Megan Kraft and Laynie Maple, who are the only pair in the nation to reach 30 wins so far this season, the team looks to win its fifth Championship title.

The second-seeded Bruins are coming off a 29-win season of their own, solidifying themselves as the only team in the country to be ranked in the AVCA top-2 for the entirety of the season. Facing nationally-ranked programs in 31 of 34 duals, the Bruins went 26-5 against their ranked opponents, with 19 wins against top-10 teams and six against top-5 teams. All five of the team losses have come by top-7 programs, with none able to shut out the Bruins. Leading the No. 2 seed on the courts is Lexy Denaburg who is in the market to break the UCLA all-time career wins record (128), being just two away. Denaburg is joined by powerhouses Jaden Whitmarsh and Devon Newberry who have both reached 100 wins this season and Maggie Boyd who picked up multiple Player of the Week awards.

Stanford, who picked up the third seed in the Conference, enters the postseason with its program best record (28-3) and are one win away from matching the program-record single season wins. Their three losses were all handed to them by top-10 teams, with two being top-3 losses. For the first time in program history, the Cardinal spent the entirety of the season in the national ranking top-3, going on to set two more records as they took down the then-No. 1 USC for the first time in program history, going on to take down No. 1 UCLA to mark the first time the Cardinal have taken down two No. 1 programs in one season. Leading the Cardinal in individual wins in Kelly Belardi, Chloe Hoffman and Kate Reilly who have all secured 26 wins on the season. They are joined by six other Cardinal members who have 20 or more wins.

The fourth-seeded California, and the Conference’s last AVCA top-10 program, spent the entirety of its 20-11 season in the top-8 of the AVCA polls. Of their 20 wins, 10 came over top-18 teams, five came against top-10 teams and two came against top-5 teams. The Golden Bear schedule consisted of 13 teams who competed in the 2023 NCAA Championships, and the entire top-10 from the final AVCA poll of 2023. Leading the program on court one is Sierra Caffo who has collected 10 wins on court one.
