Pac-12 Tournament Opens with No. 23 Men's Tennis Facing Cal

CALIFORNIA– No. 23 Arizona State men's tennis (16-8, 4-2) heads to the Pac-12 Tournament in Ojai, California and will compete as the 4 seed, and is set to open the tournament on Thursday, April 25 at Libbey Park against the fifth-seeded and No. 58-ranked California at 9 a.m. MST. 

The two teams were scheduled to square off earlier this season, but the match was canceled due to weather conditions in Tempe. 

SUN DEVIL NOTABLES

  • Freshman Bor Artnak and junior Murphy Cassone are tied for the team lead with 12 singles wins. 
  • As a duo, Jacob Bullard and Murphy Cassone are 9-1 in 10 doubles matches this season.
  • In the latest ITA polls, junior Murphy Cassone is #12 and freshman Bor Artnak is #55. The doubles pair of Artnak and Max McKennon is #71 while Jacob Bullard and Murphy Cassone are #79. .

  • Ended their season on a two-match loss streak to finish the regular season 10-9.

  • Carl Emil Overbeck and Timofey Stepanov lead the team with 13 singles wins apiece.
