Gamble Earns NCAA Cle Elum Regional Individual Selection

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 24, 2024) – Washington State women's golf senior Madelyn Gamble will play in a 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Regional as an individual, as she earned a selection into the NCAA Cle Elum Regional, which will take place May 6-8 at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Washington.

Gamble becomes the sixth WSU women's golfer in program history to earn an individual selection for an NCAA Regional. Gamble makes it two years in a row that the Cougars will send an individual to play in an NCAA Regional after Darcy Hobgood played in the NCAA Pullman Regional in 2023. Gamble joins Hobgood, Alivia Brown (2018), Tasha Browner (2001), Eryn Remington (1994), and Becky Fossum as the only WSU women's golfers to play at the NCAA Regionals as an individual.

The Pleasant Hill, California native led the Cougars with a scoring average of 72.69, which is currently the best season scoring average in program history. Gamble collected eight top-25 finishes this season, which includes a pair of top-10 finishes, and she carded 15 par-or-better rounds.

The senior's low-round score was 70, shooting that in seven different rounds, most recently for a 2-under score in round one of the 2024 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships. Gamble's best 54-hole score of the season also came at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, as she carded 4-under 212 to finish the tournament in a tie for 13th. The senior's highest finish of the season came at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invite where she finished tied for eighth at 2-under, 142 at the two-round event.
