No. 5/27 Women's Tennis Falls to No. 4/10 Cal in Quarterfinals of Pac-12 Championships

OJAI, Calif.-- It's an early exit for the No. 5/27 Sun Devils at the Pac-12 Championships, as they were bested by No. 4/10 California, 5-0, in the quarterfinals on Thursday morning at the Weil Tennis Academy.
 
It snapped a six-match win streak to close out the regular season, which included six wins against conference opponents.
 
California jumped out to an early lead with wins on Courts 2 and 3. It was just the third loss of the spring for the Morlet/Svetac tandem on Court 2, who entered play this morning boasting a 9-2 mark.
 
With the Sun Devils needing to steal four of six singles matches, the Golden Bears jumped out to the early lead with a 6-0, 6-2 win on Court 4. They would go on to pick up singles wins on Courts 1, 5 and 6 to win the match in a 5-0 win.
