Lake Wheeler Invitational Up Next for Cougs

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 26, 2024) – Washington State women's rowing is at the Lake Wheeler Invitational this weekend on April 26-27 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Cougars hit the water Friday morning at 7:50 a.m. PT in the 2V4 flight with Natalie Spring stroking and Audrey Gulig in the coxswain's seat. The second flight for the Cougs will be another V4, launching at 8:20 a.m. PT stroked by Emily Corbett with Vera Lichvarcik on the headset. Then at 8:50 a.m. PT will be the 2V8 led by Ella Greenslade and stroked by Saskia Steltman.

Friday afternoon will start with the 2V4 again at 12:50 p.m. PT, the V4 at 1:20 p.m. PT and the 2V8 at 1:50 p.m. PT before the V8 crew launches at 2:20 p.m. PT, seeing Ainsley Tiernan leading the Cougar shell along with Sydney Wick in the stroke-seat.

Then on Saturday, the same crews will compete, beginning with the 2V4 at 6:40 a.m. PT and followed by the V4 at 7:10 a.m. PT, and the 2V8 at 7:40 a.m. before the V8 shell wraps things up at 8:10 a.m. PT.

After the Lake Wheeler Invitational, the Cougs will look ahead to the Pac-12 Championship on Sunday, May 19 at Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.
