TEMPE, Ariz. – Top-seeded and No. 1 nationally ranked USC swept No. 2 UCLA, 3-0, in the title match to claim the 2024 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship at Sun Devil Beach Volleyball Facility on Friday. It marks the fifth time in the eight stagings of the event the Trojans have claimed the crown (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022).

The morning began with UCLA knocking the Trojans into the contender’s bracket after a nail-biting 3-2 victory, just the second dual of the tournament to be decided with five courts. 

The first contender’s match of the morning saw sixth-seeded ARIZONA STATE hold its own against third-seeded STANFORD. After a close fight, the Cardinal came out victorious, dropping the hosts out of the tournament and advancing to the contender’s semifinal where they later fell 3-1 to USC. 

The Championship match featured the top-two teams in the nation, the Bruins and Trojans, going head-to-head for the sixth time in conference championship match history. Despite losing to UCLA in the winner’s semifinal, the Trojans captured their third 3-0 Championship victory. 

In the title match, USC’s Audrey Nourse and Nicole Nourse came out swinging, taking the first point of the dual in a quick 21-13, 21-11 finish on court 3. Maybn Thomas and Madison Goellner took home the second Trojan win on court five in a three set shutdown (21-17, 16-21, 15-13). With the Trojans up 2-0 entering the second wave of duals, Ashley Pater and Grace Seits brought home the final point on court four to crown USC the 2024 Pac-12 Champions. 

At the conclusion of the Championship, six pairs were named to the Pac-12 Championship All-Tournament Team:

Pac-12 teams wait for the NCAA selections which will be announced Sunday, April 28 at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on NCAA.com. The 2026 NCAA Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship, which expanded to a 17-team field last spring, will be held at Gulf Shores Beach in Gulf Shores, Ala., May 3-5. Similar to the Pac-12 Championship, either USC (2016, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023) or UCLA (2018, 2019) has won every NCAA national title to date.
