In the 5000m, Dishon finished 16:03.69, nine seconds under her personal best. Abbey Nechanicky ran her second event for the Buffs, finishing with a time of 16:33.86 for an 11th-place finish. Katie Doucette finished 17th with a time of 16:43.47.

On the men's side, Mathison ran a personal best 8:48.07 to take first place in the 3000m steeplechase. Charles Welch finished fifth with a time of 8:58.61.

Lukas Haug finished third in the 1500m run section 2, running a personal best 3:46.36. In the first section of the 1500m, Isaiah Givens placed fourth with a personal best 3:40.43. Noah Hibbard placed 11th with a time of 3:44.29.

On Saturday, Colorado will compete in the Doug Max Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo., while also sending athletes to Tucson, Ariz., for the Desert Heat Classic.

The field portion at CSU will begin with throwing events at 10 a.m. and jumps at 11 a.m. Isaiah Bouchard, Lucas Williams, Ames Newman, and Drake Miller will make up the Colorado field athletes on the men's side, while Obi Osafo-Mensah will be the lone Buff competing in the discus throw on the women's side.

On the track in Fort Collins, 12 Colorado distance runners will lace up their spikes. CU's busiest race of the day will be the men's 5,000-meter, which includes eight Buffs' runners led by Elias Lindgren.

The Desert Heat Classic in Arizona will be Colorado's largest meet of the weekend. It will start at noon on Saturday and end shortly after 10 p.m. The Buffs are sending over 25 men and 15 women to Tucson in what will technically be Colorado's final meet before the Pac-12 Championships.
