San Francisco To Invite Monroe Young To Mini-Camp

Monroe Young will be invited to the San Francisco 49ers mini-camp.

Former California wide receiver Monroe Young will be invited to an upcoming San Francisco 49ers mini-camp according to Young.

Young was one of four players from Cal's 2023 team to become affiliated with NFL teams on Saturday along with Matthew Cindric (Minnesota Vikings, undrafted free agent), Patrick McMorris (Miami Dolphins, 6th round NFL Draft pick, 198th overall) and Jackson Sirmon (New York Jets, undrafted free agent).

The three-day 2024 NFL Draft being held around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit concluded Saturday.

After Cal
– Posted the best 40-yard dash time (4.52) and vertical jump (40' 0") at Cal's 2024 Pro Day, while also registering 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench
– Vertical jump and bench press numbers at Cal's 2024 Pro Day both would have been tied for sixth at the 2024 NFL Combine
 
Collegiate Career (California, 2018-23)
– Played in 46 games with seven starts over six seasons including his redshirt campaign as a 2018 true freshman
– Contributed 48 receptions for 511 yards receiving with four touchdown catches, as well as three rushes for eight yards to total 519 all-purpose yards and yards from scrimmage, while adding two tackles
– Had 19 receptions for 208 yards with one touchdown catch, as well as his lone three career rushes for eight yards to total 216 all-purpose yards and yards from scrimmage, and a career-high-tying one tackle as a 2023 senior
– Recipient of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Scholar-Athlete Award as a 2023 senior
– Posted career highs in receptions (6), receiving yards (69), rushing yards (13), all-purpose yards (82) and yards from scrimmage (82), while tying his career his with one touchdown reception in his final collegiate game at the 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
– Played in all 12 games including his first career start at Oregon State and contributed career highs of 23 receptions, 231 yards receiving and three touchdown catches, as well as a career-high-tying one tackle as a 2022 junior
– A two-time member of the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll (2019, 2023)
