Apr 29, 2024

SEATTLE – Washington head men's basketball coach Danny Sprinkle announced the addition of DJ Davis, a Butler University transfer who signed with the Huskies for the 2024-25 season.

Davis, a 6'1" guard out of Moreno Valley, Calif., averaged 13.5 points per game on a career-best 42.9 percent shooting last season with the Bulldogs. He was the Division I leader in free throw percentage in 2023-24, making 95 percent, and is a career 89.1 percent shooter from the stripe.

"DJ Davis is a talented, veteran guard who will have an immediate impact on our program. He is one of the best shooters in the country with an exciting ability to stretch the defense with his unlimited range," Coach Sprinkle said. "We are excited for him to bring his veteran presence and poise to the Huskies."

Davis, who spent three seasons at UC Irvine, averaged 15.0 points per game in 2022-23, shooting over 40 percent from three-point range to earn All-Big West First Team honors. He is a career 40 percent shooter and has started all 67 games in which he has played over the last two seasons.
