Despite scoring three times in the top of the first inning, Washington was unable to keep Florida State off the scoreboard, falling 8-3 Tuesday night in Oklahoma City as the Seminoles clinched the Women's College World Series title. Taran Alvelo gave up seven earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, while the Huskies were shut out over the final six innings.
