2022 Pac-12 Sustainability Conference: At a glance

The 2022 Pac-12 Sustainability Conference, a key pillar of Pac-12 Team Green, was held June 15-16, with the event returning to in-person at the University of Utah after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-day event began on Wednesday, June 15, with a series of special tours around Utah athletics facilities as well as several locations in the Salt Lake City community, followed by a welcome reception which featured opening remarks from Utah President Taylor Randall and a special Ute tribe blessing & performance. 

On Thursday, June 16, the day-long program featured a number of panel discussions across the world of sustainability and collegiate athletics, including a feature panel with Utah AD Mark Harlan & Colorado AD Rick George, as well as an awards ceremony for the 2021-22 Pac-12 Zero Waste Challenge Winners and more.

The agenda concluded with keynote speeches from representatives of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and USC, with the Trojans announced as the hosts for the 2023 Pac-12 Sustainability Conference, set to take place June 14-15, 2023 in Los Angeles!
