SAN FRANCISCO - Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu, Stanford's Nneka Ogwumike and Washington's Kelsey Plum were selected by fans, current WNBA players and media as three of the 10 starters in AT&T WNBA All-Star 2022, the league announced today. 

The Pac-12's three alumnae voted into the starting lineups of this season's midseason showcase are tied with the SEC for most among collegiate conferences. They are the fifth, sixth and seventh Pac-12 women's basketball players to be selected to start a WNBA All-Star Game all-time, joining Arizona State's Kym Hampton (1999), and USC's Cynthia Cooper-Dyke (1999, 2000, 2003), Lisa Leslie (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2009) and Tina Thompson (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003).

The starting selections of Ionescu, Ogwumike and Plum are the first for the Pac-12 since Leslie in 2009. She was unable to play that year because of a sprained right knee and was replaced in the starting lineup by Thompson. Thompson also started in 2007 as a replacement for the injured Sue Bird. It's the first time since 2003 the Pac-12 has had a trio voted All-Star starters.

The No. 1 overall pick from 2020, Ionescu will be making her All-Star debut. She leads the Liberty in scoring and assists with career-best averages of 16.7 points and 6.1 assists per game, and on June 12 became the youngest player in WNBA history (24) to record multiple triple-doubles in a career.

The No. 1 overall pick from 2012, Ogwumike, the 2016 WNBA MVP, earned her seventh overall All-Star nod after leading the Sparks in scoring (18.1) and rebounding (7.7) through the season's first 15 games.

The No. 1 overall pick from 2017, Plum, like Ionescu, will be making her first All-Star appearance. She is second in the league in scoring (20.3), and fifth in assists (6.0), and tops the WNBA in 3-pointers made (50).

The 2022 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be played at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on Sunday, July 10 at 10 a.m. PT on ABC. Fans accounted for 50 percent of the vote to determine the starters for AT&T WNBA All-Star 2022, while current WNBA players and a media panel accounted for 25 percent each.
