The memorable 2022 Pac-12 softball season has ended, but some of the conference's former stars are still grabbing headlines in the pro ranks.

Danielle O'Toole (Arizona), Dejah Mulipola (Arizona) and Rachel Garcia (UCLA) were the top three performers in the inaugural AUX softball series in San Diego that included 18 games from June 13-25.

Athletes Unlimited uses a unique scoring system that ranks players based on their individual and team performance.

O'Toole, the 2017 Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, won the competition after posting a 1.69 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. She also tied for the lead league in wins (4).

Garcia, the 2019 and 2021 Pac-12 Player of the Year, finished second behind O'Toole with nine hits, three homers and nine RBI as well as 25 strikeouts in 27 innings and two wins.

“It’s pretty wild," O'Toole said in a release. "I came into AUX thinking this was going to be a great tune-up for our Championship season next month in Chicago. I just wanted to get on the field, grind it out and compete. Winning was totally not in my head but I am thrilled that I came out on top after a challenging two weeks of great competition here in San Diego.”

Mulipola, a two-time NFCA Catcher of the Year, finished third after hitting .325 with two homers, eight RBI and six walks.

Former Washington shortstop and three-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Sis Bates was named the AUX defensive MVP after logging 21 putouts and a .952 fielding percentage while making several highlight plays.

“Defense is so fun for me because I get to play with the people I love," Bates said in a statement. "I just try to make defensive plays for my pitchers because I know it fires them up and it serves as a spark plug for our team. Winning this award is pretty awesome”

In total, 14 former Pac-12 stars competed in the AUX season in San Diego, the most from any conference. The full leaderboard can be found here.

Athletes Unlimited will reconvene for its championship series in Rosemont, Illinois from July 29 through Aug. 28.
