Four Pac-12 women's soccer teams are ranked to begin the 2022 season, which officially opens Aug. 18.

Reigning Pac-12 champion UCLA is the top squad, checking in at No. 13 in the United Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll.

USC is two spots behind its crosstown rival at No. 15.

Washington State and Stanford are ranked No. 20 and No. 21, respectively.

UCLA, USC and Stanford are regulars in the rankings, but this marks just the third time in program history and first time since 2018 that the Cougars have appeared in the preseason top 25. It also matches WSU's highest preseason ranking in program history.

The Cougars went 14-3-4 last season, tying the second-most wins in school history.

College soccer teams are permitted to begin practicing this week and exhibitions begin as early as Aug. 6, a quick buildup to the regular season.
