Washington State men's basketball's ended its decade-long Pac-12 Tournament drought with an 82-68 opening round victory over Colorado on Wednesday night in Las Vegas. CJ Elleby had a monster game (30 points, 10 rebounds), joining Deandre Ayton and Brook Lopez as the only student-athletes since 2002 to score 30 points and ten rebounds in a Pac-12 Tournament game. The win by the 11-seed cougars, coupled with 10-seed California triumph over Stanford earlier in the day, marked just the second time in Pac-12 Tournament history that two double-digit seeds have won on the same day. Washington State will advance to face-off against 3-seed Arizona State tomorrow, while Colorado will have to await Selection Sunday to see if it will qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
