Oregon and UC Davis Square Off in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon lacrosse seeks its first Pac-12 victory of the season when it hosts UC Davis on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT at Papé Field.

BACK AT PAPÉ
The 6-3 Oregon Ducks return to Papé Feld after suffering an 18-8 loss on the road at the hands of No. 23 Stanford last Saturday. Oregon has been dominant at Papé this season, posting a 5-1 record at home while outscoring opponents 95-42. The Ducks are seeking their first Pac-12 victory in the Jessica Drummond era and will need to defeat an 8-3 Aggie team to earn it on Saturday.
 
DUCK, DUCK, DEFEND
The Oregon defense has been lights out this season, stifling opponents to 9.44 goals per game which makes them one of 27 programs nationally to hold opponents below 10. The Ducks have kept seven rivals under 10 goals after doing so just three times across the last three seasons combined. The aggressive play from Oregon has led to 10.44 caused turnovers per game, which is tied for the lead in the Pac-12 and is among the top 10 nationally.

McCARTHY MAGIC
Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy continues to be a leading presence for Oregon after being named an All-Pac-12 second-team selection for a second consecutive season in 2023. McCarthy led Oregon with career-highs in goals (37) and points (40) and is having another impressive year with 26 goals in nine games thus far.

LO RIZZ MAKING IT HAPPEN
Oregon attacker Lauren Rismani has been a prolific facilitator for Oregon this season, logging a team-high 20 assists that ranks second among Pac-12 players. After scoring 13 goals in 2023, the junior has already netted 10 through nine games this season and is tied for second on the team with 30 points.
 

  • Has an assist in all nine games, and multiple assists in seven.
  • 13-straight games with an assist leading back to last season.
  • 30 points ranks in the top 10 among Pac-12 players.
  • 13 goals and 23 assists as a sophomore in 2023.

 
SUPER SIMMONS
Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been on a tear to open the season for Oregon. The youngest of the Ducks' six team captains has scored 25 goals in nine games, crushing her season total of eight in 2023. Simmons' goal total is tied for eighth in the Pac-12.
