PHILADELPHIA – A group of women kicked off a busy final regular season week for the Husky Track & Field teams, racing at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Haley Herberg and Julia David-Smith both broke 16-minutes in the 5,000-meters.
 
Washington's mid-distance women will also race the next two days at Franklin Field, while the men's distance squad goes on Friday at the Payton Jordan at Stanford, then the sprinters, jumpers, and throwers go Friday and Saturday at the Fresno State Invitational.
 
The Huskies had six women in the 5k tonight, led by Herberg who ran 15:58.49, and David-Smith who went 15:59.01.
 
India Weir ran a 16:18.16 time and Josephine Welin came through in 16:45.36. Ella Borsheim ran 16:48.30, and Saskia Lloyd ran 17:01.34.
 
Sophomore Anna Terrell also raced in the 400-meter hurdles today. Terrell notched a time of 1:00.90.
