USC

It’s title time, y’all. Stanford, the King of the North, and USC (I don’t have a King of the South/heir to the iron throne video to link) play in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game Friday night (5 p.m. PT, ESPN), and Yahoo Sports previews the Pac-12 title game for us. Nick Bromberg wonders if USC can beat Stanford for a second time this season.

Stanford

Busy day of TV watching for Stanford fans. Not only is there #Pac12FCG, but the defending national-champion women’s volleyball team begins its quest for a repeat with a first-round matchup with CSU Bakersfield and the two-time defending national champion men’s soccer team plays in an NCAA quarterfinal match against Wake Forest. But wait- there’s more, because top-seeded Stanford women’s soccer can bolster its legacy with an NCAA title as it starts College Cup play Friday against South Carolina, writes Vytas Mazeika of The San Jose Mercury News.

Washington State

Bruce Feldman is reporting that Tennessee is interested in hiring Mike Leach as its new football coach. A meeting between Leach and then-Tennessee AD John Currie (he was fired Friday morning) went “very well,” according to Feldman. However, Vince Grippi of The Spokesman-Review doesn’t believe Leach will go to Tennessee.

Oregon State

Danny Moran gives us the rundown on Jonathan Smith’s introductory press conference as the new Oregon State head football coach.

Oregon

The Ducks locked down women's volleyball coach Matt Ulmer with a four-year contract

Arizona State

Doug Haller gives us 10 thoughts on Herm Edwards potentially becoming the next head coach at Arizona State. As he is quick to point out, nothing is set in stone yet.

UCLA

Thuc Nhi Nguyen gives us UCLA football’s bowl possibilities in this link. Looks like the Bruins could be headed to the Cactus Bowl or Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Washington

Terry Wood of The Seattle Times writes that Washington volleyball’s new-look lineup is coming together as the NCAA tournament begins. The Dawgs play LIU Brooklyn Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Utah

Check out the Pac-12 Networks highlights of Utah women’s volleyball sweeping Cleveland State in the first round of the NCAA tournament Thursday night.

Colorado

Longtime trusted Colorado volleyball SID Linda Sprouse puts up this story on senior opposite Joslyn Hayes ending her career on a positive swing. The Buffs play James Madison in the first round of the NCAA tournament at 3:30 p.m. MT in Waco, Texas.

Arizona

Arizona men’s basketball coach Sean Miller says his team needs more “defensive stoppers,” guys like Kadeem Allen, he of Boston Celtics and Maine Red Claws fame. Bruce Pascoe has the story.

California

And for your Cal link, why don’t you watch Tyrone Wallace dunk on Ivan Rabb in a G League game Thursday night? Wallace got the highlight, but Rabb’s team got the win. Wallace looks so much better this year and could be on the verge of a 10-day contract with an NBA team come 2018.
