Roundup: Former USC pitcher Randy Johnson into baseball Hall of Fame

USC

Former USC pitcher Randy Johnson was elected into baseball’s Hall of Fame Tuesday alongside John Smoltz, Pedro Martinez and Craig Biggio. The other two Trojans in the baseball Hall of Fame are Tom Seaver and Pat Gillick.

Colorado

Juicy Pac-12 basketball battle tonight between the Buffs and Utes in Salt Lake City (6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT, ESPN2), and Colorado forward Josh Scott expects to play against Utah, reports Brian Howell. Scott missed the weekend waltz with UCLA and USC due to back spasms.

Utah

Since the game is taking place in the Huntsman Center, you should know that the game atmosphere at Utah is improving with the team’s play (the renovations don’t hurt either).

Stanford

Stanford left tackle Andrus Peat declared for the NFL draft Tuesday. He won the Morris Trophy (best Pac-12 offensive lineman) and was an All-American in 2014.

California

Cal wide receiver Chris Harper will enter the NFL draft, the school announced Tuesday. He leaves Cal eighth on the school’s career receptions list and tied for ninth in touchdown receptions.

Oregon

Sweetness – San Jose native and Oregon running back/wide receiver Byron Marshall is on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week for the preview of the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Arizona

Arizona basketball freshman Craig Victor is leaving the program and will transfer to play elsewhere. The forward averaged 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds in eight games.

Washington

Washington wide receiver Kendyl Taylor will transfer, according to media reports and Taylor’s Twitter account.

UCLA

UCLA football coach Jim Mora explained his brief postgame handshake with Kansas State coach Bill Snyder after the Alamo Bowl, saying he didn’t want to say anything he’d regret to Snyder after the end of the game got testy.
