The work has also been showcased across Pac-12 Networks with feature vignettes of student-athletes and coaches recognizing teachers who made a difference in their lives. In support of the overall mission of Extra Yard for Teachers, the Pac-12 has worked with the CFP Foundation to help elevate the teaching profession by inspiring and empowering quality teachers.

In addition to the donations made to the 12 local teachers this week, each Pac-12 university also donated $10,000 to deserving local teachers in their communities over the course of the football season. Focusing on science, technology, engineering, the arts and math, the partnership has produced over $170,000 in grant funding over the past five years.

Also taking place tonight, the Pac-12 again hosted hundreds of local Bay Area teachers for the championship game.
