Sabrina Ionescu delivers unforgettable performance with WNBA’s first-ever 30-point triple-double

After being selected as a starter in her first-career WNBA All-Star Game and named the Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month (June 2022) for the first time in her career, Sabrina Ionescu adds to her list of accolades this season by becoming the first player in league history to record a 30-point triple-double.

The Liberty guard and former Oregon standout finished with a game-high 31 points to tie her season-high, while adding 13 rebounds and 10 assists against the Las Vegas Aces. 

Her second triple-double of the season becomes the third of her career, now tying Candace Parker for the most career triple-doubles in WNBA history.

Ionescu scorched from beyond-the-arc going 7-of-8 from deep against the Aces, marking both a career-high and single-game franchise record for three-pointers made. 

New York went on to tie a WNBA record of 35 assists as a team behind Ionescu’s 10, which included zero turnovers from the third-year point guard.
