OJAI, Calif. – Washington opened its final Pac-12 tournament with a 4-0 sweep of Utah, moving into the quarterfinals where the Dawgs will take on top-seeded Stanford on Thursday. A closely contested doubles point went UW's way and then the Dawgs ran off three straight-set singles wins to finish off the Utes.
 
The eighth-seeded Huskies (9-14) will now take on the Cardinal at 12 noon tomorrow at Libbey Park in Ojai.
 
Doubles came down to the No. 2 spot tied at 1-1, and that match went into a tiebreak, but it was UW's Cesar Bouchelaghem and Jim Hendrikx who earned the 7-3 win to clinch. It was their first time teaming up together in doubles. UW also won at the top spot, as Dzianis Zharyn and Brett Pearson took a 6-4 victory.
 
In singles, freshman Ivan Sodan posted the first point, rolling to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Gianluca Citadini at the No. 5 position. Then Zharyn grabbed a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles over Bruno Krenn to make it 3-0 Dawgs.
 
Senior Han-Chih Lin finished things off as he beat Jayson Blando, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 3 singles for the fourth UW point.
 
Three matches were suspended, with Cesar Bouchelaghem early in a third set at No. 1 singles, Nedim Suko up a set and down 4-5 in the second set against Dylan Applegate at four, and Jim Hendrikx about the force a third set leading 5-2 at No. 6 against Michael Blando.
