Stanford Lauded with PCCSC Awards

STANFORD, Calif. - The Cardinal was well represented in the PCCSC end of season awards, taking home all three major awards as Vanessa Lahrkamp was named both the Open and Women's Skipper of the Year and Thomas Sitzmann earned Rookie of the Year honors.

The Cardinal also claimed eight all-conference honors.

Lahrkamp's Women's Skipper of the Year award is the fourth in Stanford history and the third straight for the Cardinal (Sophie Fisher - 2023, Michelle Lahrkamp - 2022). It's also Lahrkamp's second straight PCCSC award after she took home the Open Skipper of the Year award last year as well.

Sitzmann's Rookie of the Year award is the second open sailor to earn the honor in Stanford history, joining Romain Screve from 2018.

Reade Decker and Luke Woodworth were both named PCCSC All-Conference Open skippers while Alice Schmid and Hannah Freeman earned PCCSC All-Conference Women Skippers honors. Gwendolyn Donahue, Ellie Harned, Alice Schmid, and Alexis Young were all named PCCSC All-Conference Crews as well.
