Apr 27, 2024

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon lacrosse team earned the fifth seed in the 2024 Pac-12 Women's Lacrosse Tournament and will face fourth-seeded Arizona State on Wednesday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m. PT. This year's Pac-12 tournament is being held at the LA Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

The Ducks (8-6, 2-5 Pac-12) were the winners of a number of tiebreakers that awarded them a spot in the tournament. Oregon and Arizona State (8-9, 3-4 Pac-12) will square off for the second time this season after the Ducks earned a decisive 20-12 victory over the Sun Devils in their home finale on April 13.

Oregon has had an impressive season under first-year head coach Jessica Drummond, notching a program-record seven home victories this season while also clinching a winning season for the first time since 2017. The Ducks are led by sensational senior Morgan McCarthy, whose 42 goals are tied for the seventh most in a single season in program history, and Anna Simmons who has 33 goals and 20 caused turnovers in her sophomore campaign.

Oregon and Arizona State square off in the first game of the tournament on Wednesday for the opportunity to face top-seeded Stanford. Oregon's last win in the Pac-12 Tournament came in 2022 when the Ducks knocked off Colorado in the quarterfinal round.
