Kasper’s Home Run Nets OSU Lone Run In Series-Ending Loss

Apr 28, 2024

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Brady Kasper hit a home run in the seventh inning but that's all the offense Oregon State could muster in a 7-1 loss to Oregon Sunday afternoon at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Kasper hit a solo blast off the batter's eye in center to lead off the inning, and snapped Kevin Seitter's no-hit bid. Gavin Turley followed that up with a single in that eighth but that constituted Oregon State's (33-10 overall, 12-8 Pac-12 Conference) offensive output for the day.

Five Beaver pitchers combined to strike out 15 Oregon (29-14, 12-9) batters, but three home runs helped the Ducks to the win. Eric Segura took the loss after allowing three hits and five runs – four earned – with six strikeouts. He is 5-1 on the year.

Seitter earned the win for Oregon, improving 5-3 on the season. He allowed one hit and one run with nine strikeouts in seven innings.
