Beavers Ready For NCAA Regional Action In North Carolina

May 5, 2024

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State women's golf team will compete at the NCAA Division I Regionals Monday through Wednesday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The Beavers enter the regional as the No. 8 seed in the 12-team field. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team will advance to compete in the NCAA National Championships to be played May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.

This is the seventh-consecutive time Oregon State has earned a trip to postseason play, the second-longest streak in program history (the 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals were canceled due to COVID-19). The Beavers advanced to the NCAA Regionals eight-straight times from 1994-2001.

Last season the Beavers advanced to the NCAA National Championships for the second time in program history when they had their best-ever finish at NCAA Regionals, second place, after shooting a 17-under 286-277-284--847 at the par-72, 6,300-yard Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield, Ind. The Beavers' best previous finish at NCAA Regionals was seventh place in 2017.

OSU finished in a tie for 22nd place at the 2023 nationals and missed out on advancing to match play as one of the top 15 teams. The only previous time Oregon State advanced to the NCAA National Championships was 1998 when it finished in 16th place.
