Washington State football picked up its first conference win of the year on Saturday, October 2nd, defeating California 21-6 in Berkeley. Quarterback Jayden de Laura had a strong outing (219 passing yards, 2 touchdowns), but it was wide receiver Calvin Jackson Jr. who stole the show with an acrobatic one-armed touchdown grab. Luc Bequette was the star on defense for the Golden Bears, collecting five tackles (including 1.5 tackles for loss) and sack in the losing effort.
