Our Stories: All-Black officiating crew makes Pac-12 football history

On Dec. 19, 2020, history was made when Referee Michael Mothershed led the first all-Black officiating crew to work a Pac-12 football game for the Stanford at UCLA contest. Comprised of 11 individuals, the crew also included Michael Stephens (umpire), Darryl Johnson (head line judge), Harold Mitchell, Jr. (line judge), Michael Hall (field judge), Anthony Little (back judge), Michael Marsh (center judge), Judson Howard (instant replay official), Cleo Robinson (instant replay assistant) and Javarro "Jay" Edwards (alternate official).
