SAN FRANCISCO - Oregon's Mimi Colyer was named the 2022 National Freshman of the Year and a total of 8 Pac-12 women's volleyball student-athletes were recognized as first, second and third-team All-Americans on Wednesday when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its Division I All-America teams. 

Colyer is the first ever Oregon Duck and seventh freshman in Pac-12 history to take home the national honor. Washington State's Magda Jehlarova, a first-team selection on Wednesday, was the league's last freshman to pick up the award in 2019. Colyer was also named an AVCA Third Team All-America selection.

Jehlarova joins USC's Skylar Fields, Oregon's Brooke Nuneviller and Stanford's Kendall Kipp and Kami Miner as AVCA First Team All-American selections. Jehlarova and Nuneviller end their careers as three-time honorees, while Kipp, the 2022 Pac-12 Player of the Year, and Fields (2021 at Texas) collected their second career awards. Miner, the 2022 Pac-12 Setter of the Year, earned her first career selection.

The five first-team nods are the most for the Pac-12 since 2017 and most of any conference this year.

Now a three-time All-American, Washington's Claire Hoffman garnered a second team nod along with Oregon's Hannah Pukis, who earned her first selection. Colyer was the Pac-12's only third team honoree.

Elena Oglivie (Stanford), Ella May Powell (Washington), Madelyn Robinson (Utah) and Mia Tuaniga (USC) received honorable mention All-America acclaim.
