The Ducks seek their first Pac-12 win of the season, as the Huskies will be fifth straight ranked opponent to begin conference action on UO's schedule. UW will be the seventh team in the ITA rankings that Oregon will face, as all seven losses have come to teams currently ranked in the nation's top 75.

Last weekend, Oregon fell to No. 39 Arizona State 4-0 before a hard-fought 4-2 defeat to 41st-ranked Arizona. Trailing 3-0 to the Wildcats, singles victories by Candela Aparisi and Jo-Yee Chan trimmed the deficit to one team point with the final two matches both in a decisive third set but the comeback bid was thwarted.

Chan leads the Ducks with 11 singles victories and has won four of her last five outings while Martinez Moral is 10-3 this spring and has won her last four singles matches. Karin Young is 9-4 this spring season, with six wins coming at the fifth position and Aparisi has won her last three matches at No. 6 in the lineup.

On the double side, Oregon has clinched the doubles point in 10 of 16 matches this season and have used 10 different doubles combinations. Aparisi and Young own a team-best seven dual doubles victories. Chan has seven total doubles wins across four different pairings, and has won four of the last six matches with partner Sophie Luescher.

Washington enters Friday's contest winners of three straight matches, including a 4-3 win over No. 15 San Diego on Wednesday, while boasting an ITA ranking of No. 28. All six of the Huskies losses have come to teams ranked in the ITA's top 20.

UW is led by the nation's 96th-ranked singles player in Alexia Jacobs, who is 13-2 this spring. Additionally, the Huskies feature two top-60 doubles teams: No. 54 Catherine Gagnon and Melissa Sakar (5-1) and No. 57 Jacobs and Astrid Olsen (7-6).

Washington State has won its last two matches, defeating No. 51 Colorado and CSUN. Elyse Tyse leads four Cougars with double-digit singles wins with her 11-3 record while Hania Abouelsaad, Eva Alvarez Sande and Fifa Kumhom all have 10 singles wins.

The Ducks are 13-41 all-time against UW and 28-24 against the Cougars. Last season, UO defeated WSU 5-2 and has won the last two meetings. Oregon was swept by the Huskies a season ago but swept Washington at home in 2022.
